Nevada is our home—we live, work, and play in the Silver State.

We are proud of the jobs we provide and the people we employ. Our operations support the long-term economic viability and legacy of the local communities. And the metals we produce contribute to the comforts of our modern society and play a vital role in our nation’s economy.

The Rochester mine is an open pit, heap leach silver-gold operation, located in Pershing County, Nevada, approximately 26 miles northeast of Lovelock. The mine consists of the main Rochester deposit and the adjacent Nevada Packard deposit. In 2018, the company acquired the Lincoln Hill, Gold Ridge and Wilco projects adjacent to Rochester.

Rochester has been a significant contributor to the Pershing County economy and community for more than 30 years. With just over 300 employees, the mine is the largest employer in the county. In 2020, employee wages and benefits totaled over $36 million. Coeur Rochester also indirectly supports more than 650 jobs in Northern Nevada.

An expansion project currently underway would extend the life of the mine with active mining at full production and employment lasting until 2038.

POA 11

Since the initial Plan of Operation (POA) approval in 1986, Rochester has undergone periodic mine plan amendments to support mine development projects and continued operations. Our most recent mine plan amendment, POA 11, will extend the life of the mine with active mining at full production and employment lasting until 2038. POA 11 received approval from permitting authorities and is currently in construction.

The Sterling and Crown exploration properties cover approximately 35,500 net acres (14,365 hectares) of highly prospective land in Nye County, roughly 115 miles north of Las Vegas.

The high-grade Sterling gold project is a past-producing open-pit and underground heap leach gold mine located in the southern portion of the land package with major permits in place.

The Crown Block, which is located in the northern portion of the land package, includes four heap leachable deposits: Daisy, Secret Pass, and SNA as well as the recently discovered C-Horst zone.
